City Council votes down proposal to remove DEI from Omaha budget

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Omaha City Council took a stand, voting against eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion from the 2026 City Budget.

The term “diversity, equity, and inclusion” appears twice in the close to 500 pages that make up the 2026 city budget.
