Rare 1952 Skyraider lands in Eugene, honoring aviation history and vets

EUGENE, Ore. — You don’t see this every day: a piece of aviation history landing at the Eugene Airport Tuesday morning.

It was the 1952 Douglas Skyraider’s flight facilitated by the Soaring by the Sea Foundation, a group dedicated to the preservation of planes like this, honoring veterans, and inspiring future aviators.
