Iconic Augusta restaurant Villa Europa seeks public’s help ‘to be open just a little bit longer’

Chances are good that if you ask any long-time Augustan what the best local restaurants are, Villa Europa most likely would make that list.

But the Dean’s Bridge Road restaurant recently announced it is closing and is asking for donations to help it stay open a little longer to give its customers and the long-time employees a proper send-off.

“For over 50 years, the Villa Europa legacy has been more than a place to just grab a meal − it has been a part of your family,” the restaurant posted on its website. “We are still fighting to be open just a little bit longer so we can end this chapter the right way, to give you, our family, the time to say a proper goodbye.”…
