CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — Community members gathered outside city hall Wednesday for a rally urging Chattanooga city council to pass a resolution “affirming VW workers’ right to a fair contract.”
The rally was organized by the Chattanooga Labor Area Council.
Caleb Michalski, an Elected Bargaining Offical at United Auto Workers Union (UAW) Local 42, tells us…
“We the workers at Volkswagen Chattanooga just want to be compensated at the American standard for autoworkers. By supporting the workers of this city, Chattanooga could experience a renaissance of culture and wealth, made not just by tourism but by the thousands who live and work here.”
