AURORA, Ky. — Months after she went missing, the body of a Marshall County woman was found underneath her home, Marshall County Coroner Kenny Pratt said Tuesday.
Kathryn Pipitone, 54, of Aurora, was first reported missing on June 28 and was last seen in her home located next to the Aurora Los Amigos restaurant. Pratt confirmed on Tuesday that Pipitone’s remains were found in the crawl space of her house. Initially, authorities searched for her using drones and K-9 teams, but had to suspend the search after it provided no new information.
Pipitone had disabilities and was unable to walk without assistance from another person or a medical device. Due to her disabilities, Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hilbrecht said in July that his office had not ruled out foul play.
