Armed man harasses students on U of M campus, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Memphis Police Department has arrested and charged a man accused of harassing students on the University of Memphis campus.

On August 25, officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on the University of Memphis campus near University Street.

When officers arrived, they learned that a suspect, later identified as Nile Jolly, was harassing students on campus grounds.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered that Jolly was armed with a handgun that he was carrying in his backpack…
