Pickett Fire Calistoga updates: Evacuations still in effect

CALISTOGA, Calif. (KRON) — Firefighters continue to make progress against the Pickett Fire burning near Calistoga in Napa County. The fire has exploded to 6,803 acres since first breaking out last Thursday. As of Monday afternoon, the blaze was 13% contained.

Evacuation orders remain in effect for the following zones:

  • NPA E114
  • E121-B
  • E-121C
  • E122-B
  • E107-B
  • E108-A
  • POP-E001-B
  • E002C

Evacuation warnings are still in effect Monday for the following zones:

  • NPA-E120
  • E107-A
  • E121-A
  • E122-A
  • POP-E002-A
  • ANG-E001
  • POP-E001-A

Fire officials are warning of increased traffic in downtown Napa due to incident command for the blaze being now based at the Napa Valley Expo. Cal Fire staff are available to the public at multiple locations in the area to answer questions. There are also public information boards at designated locations:

  • Calistoga: Cal Mart, 1491 Lincoln Ave.; Puerta Vallarta Market, 1009 Foothill Blvd.
  • St. Helena: Safeway, 1026 Hunt Ave.; Sunshine Foods, 1115 Main St.; Azteca Market, 789 Main St.
  • Angwin: Howell Mountain Market, 15 Angwin Plaza
  • Pope Valley: Pope Valley Market, 5850 Chiles Pope Valley Rd.

Napa County declared a local emergency on Sunday in response to the fire. An air quality advisory has now been extended through Wednesday and is impacting the following counties:

  • Napa
  • Solano
  • Sonoma

No homes have been destroyed or damaged as a result of the fire. There is no word of injuries or deaths related to the fire.
