Drugs found in car of NY and MA men that tried to elude St. Albans police

ST. ALBANS, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – Two out-of-state residents arrested after attempting to elude police were arraigned on additional charges Tuesday. A search warrant was conducted on their vehicle Monday, where officers reportedly found drugs.

Items located inside the vehicle include a loaded handgun, which authorities say did not have a serial number, several thousand dollars and about 1.765 pounds of a cocaine-fentanyl mixture.

After being released from court Monday, August 25, 24-year-old Jose Coiscou-Mercedes and 21-year-old Brandy Perez were again taken into custody. Both were charged with cocaine trafficking, fentanyl trafficking and more.

They were initially held at Northwest Correctional State Correctional Center for lacking the $75,000 bail. The pair was arraigned on recent charges yesterday at the Franklin County Courthouse, and issued court ordered conditions plus bail…
