AKRON, Ohio — On the evening of Aug. 17, 2020, 18-year-old DaVierre Hale was fatally shot in a vehicle near McKinley Avenue and Talbot Avenue in Akron. Five years later, his family is still searching for answers and for justice.
“My son would have been 24 next month. And right now he’s forever 18,” said his mother, Carita Mollica.
