Woman killed in suspected DUI crash in SW Bakersfield identified: coroner

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The passenger who died in a suspected alcohol-related crash on Sunday, the crash site which two other alleged drunk drivers later drove into during investigation, has been identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.

Chasie Aquino Carino, 23, of Delano was a passenger in a vehicle traveling south on Stine Road, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

A vehicle traveling west on Panama Lane at around 1:20 a.m. collided with the vehicle and Carino was ejected from the vehicle, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said speed and alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash, but didn’t say which driver was suspected of impaired driving…
