High-speed chase in Kingston Springs ends in crash, arrest

An out-of-date license plate led to a court date for one Memphis man.

According to an arrest report from the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy noticed a black Chevrolet Malibu sedan with an expired tag parked at the Thornton’s gas station on Luyben Hills Road in Kingston Springs on Aug. 13.

When the vehicle left, the deputy initiated a traffic stop. However, the vehicle allegedly pulled into the Quality Inn parking lot, only to circle around and get back on Luyben Hills, travelling at high rates of speed. The vehicle then ran a red light while turning west onto W. Kingston Springs Road, still speeding, and eventually crashing on a curve past Merry Log Lane…
