KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — East Tennessee’s first Whataburger location officially opened its doors on Monday in Knoxville near the University of Tennessee campus.
The restaurant is located at 1830 Cumberland Avenue on the ground level of the TENN student apartments, just blocks away from the UT System’s flagship campus. It will be open 24 hours a day.
Fans lined up in anticipation of the grand opening with the first two customers receiving free gift baskets and the next 50 gifted Whataburger merchandise.
