‘She should not be free’: Polk County hit-and-run victim’s mother reacts to suspect’s arrest

POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — “She left a human being in the road to die by herself. She should not be free,” said Brenda Soper, about the driver accused of killing her daughter.

Soper said she spoke to her daughter, Danielle Stilwell, several times a day.

“Danielle had a good heart. She would help anyone. She would give a shirt off her back to you. She was a friendly person. She loved everybody,” she said.
