Storm Chances Increase Thursday Night Through Saturday

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -As drier air settles in behind the front, humidity levels will drop significantly, making for a much more comfortable feel. Mornings throughout the week will be pleasant, with lows dipping into the low to mid-60s. Afternoon highs will remain steady in the mid-to-upper 80s, setting the stage for a stretch of enjoyable weather. The drop in humidity will be especially noticeable today as much drier, more refreshing air moves in.

Rain chances remain low today, but they are expected to increase later in the week. From Thursday night through Saturday, increasing moisture will bring a higher likelihood of showers and storms. The heaviest rain is expected Thursday night into Friday, with widespread activity and rainfall totals potentially reaching 1 to 2 inches. Saturday’s forecast is a bit more uncertain, with scattered storms possible. While not everyone will see rain, it’s wise to keep your rain gear close, especially if you’re planning to be outdoors or attending any games. Better to be safe than sorry!…
