Lubbock Police Ask Public for Help in Ongoing Jeremy Maxfield Investigation

The Special Victims Unit of the Lubbock Police Department is encouraging any potential victims or witnesses to come forward as they continue their investigation into the alleged crimes of a former Lubbock High School teacher.

Details of the Jeremy Maxfield Investigation in Lubbock

Jeremy Maxfield, 41, is accused of one count of IMPROPER RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EDUCATOR/STUDENT and three counts of SEXUAL ASSAULT CHILD 22.011(a)(2), according to the Lubbock County Jail Roster.

His bond currently sits at $150,000 with the U.S. Marshals and $50,000 with the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, the charges stem from the alleged sexual abuse of a student in November and December of 2019. It is alleged that Maxfield showed inappropriate images to the student, sent messages of a sexual nature to the victim, and even abused the victim inside a classroom…
