SAN ANTONIO — Several San Antonio Independent School District campuses are boosting police presence after an attempted kidnapping near Hot Wells Middle School, according to SAISD.
In a letter sent home to parents Monday night, the district says they were aware of two adult males who attempted to abduct a child near the intersection of Russi and Koehler Court in the afternoon hours after school dismissal.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, a 12-year-old girl reported she was walking home from school around 2 p.m. when a suspect got out of a nearby vehicle parked on the street and approached her. She began walking away quickly and the suspect yelled at her. The suspect then pulled on her backpack but she was able to get away.
