The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for parts of Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas for tonight through Thursday afternoon.
This watch includes Barton, Jasper, Newton, McDonald, Barry, Lawrence, Stone, Benton, Carroll, Madison, and Washington County.
A band of localized heavy rainfall will step up couple of producing over half a foot of rain in localized pockets. While severe weather is not a major concern, we will have to watch out for a few embedded thunderstorms.
