Little’s Lake, overwhelmed by suburbia, to be nursed back to health by floating plants

COLONIE — Siena University scientists are rescuing a forgotten lake that has been hard-hit by suburban development.

Many of the inlets that flow to Little’s Lake have been cut off, replaced by runoff from lawn fertilizers.
