An Albany man has been charged for allegedly having an automatic weapon.
Ambishas Cowan was indicted on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
Cowan was arrested on July 24, after Albany Police responded to Wilkins Avenue for a report of a person armed with a weapon. He had a Glock .40-caliber handgun with 19 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. Prosecutors said the gun had been modified to fire automatically…
