Birmingham mother still searching for justice in double homicide nearly 2 years later

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Nearly two years after her daughter was killed just days before Christmas, a Birmingham mother says she is still waiting for answers and justice.

Charlotte Macon says not a day goes by without thinking about her youngest child, Kayla Hall, who was shot and killed in a double homicide in the Norwood community Dec. 13, 2023. Hall was 19 years old.

“I don’t sleep very much,” Macon said. “I wake up from dreams about her. She’s still gone. It’s not going to bring her back, but just knowing justice was served for her will give us some sense of peace.”…
