FORT MYERS, Florida — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has commenced construction on a new 64,000-square-foot facility in Fort Myers, marking a significant investment in the region’s law enforcement infrastructure. The project, expected to take 13 months, will relocate the Fort Myers Regional Operations Center from Page Field airport to a site near I-75 and Alico Road.
FDLE Deputy Commissioner Vaden Pollard expressed pride in the development, stating, “This new regional operations center is more than bricks and mortar, it’s a reflection of FDLE’s growth, our commitment to southwest Florida and our investment in the people who serve and protect it every day.” The facility will feature office space, laboratory areas for forensic services, a training center, and a warehouse, according to a press release from the department.
