MAYODAN, N.C. — In a classroom tucked inside Dalton McMichael High School, the lessons go far beyond textbooks and tests.
Dana Tucker, a special education teacher, spends her days guiding a group of exceptional children through both academic instruction and critical life skills as part of the school’s adaptive curriculum and skills class.
