Project will build complex with 171 housing units, coffee shop in NE Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A development planned for Grand Rapids will bring 171 new housing units to the city’s northeast side.

The project, called The Horizon, is planned for a vacant lot at 301 Leonard St. NE near College Avenue, according to a memo from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

The five-story mixed-use project will include a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. It will also have a coffee shop, courtyard, game room, lobby lounge and dog wash. An underground parking garage will have 79 parking spaces…
