Police shoot woman holding BB gun in Lemoyne

A person shot by police in Lemoyne Monday evening during a welfare check had pointed a BB gun at officers, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Around 6:40 p.m., Cumberland County 911 dispatchers received an anonymous call about a person “going crazy” under the Interstate 83 bridge.

Two West Shore Regional Police officers responded to the area about five minutes later. They found Romaine E. Marszalek, 23, of New Cumberland, bending over at the waist with her head near her feet, according to the affidavit…
