DPS: No students hurt in crash involving Portage school bus

PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say no students were hurt in a crash involving a Portage Public Schools bus Wednesday morning.

It happened just after 8 a.m. on E. Centre Avenue near Newells Lane, according to the Portage Department of Public Safety.

Police said an eastbound car rear-ended the school bus, which was stationary.

At the time, six students were on the bus, according to the department of public safety. None of them were hurt, but the driver of the car — a 53-year-old Kalamazoo man — was treated on scene for minor injuries, police said…
