Crash involving tractor-trailer spills sand on Plant City roadway, 3 people injured

PLANT CITY, Fla. — Three people are injured after a crash in Plant City involving a tractor-trailer that spilled sand on the road.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 26-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman from Plant City were traveling in a Jeep Cherokee just after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, going eastbound on Bruton Road. At this time, the tractor-trailer, driven by a 45-year-old Bradenton man, was driving northbound on State Road 39.
