Kissimmee to Activate New Traffic Signal at Crash-Prone Intersection of Ball Park Road and Dyer Blvd Next Month

In a move aimed at bolstering safety and easing the flow of traffic, the city has heralded the forthcoming activation of a new traffic signal. This addition, situated at the crossroads of Ball Park Road and Dyer Blvd, arrives as a countermeasure to the distressing spate of 68 crashes recorded at this juncture from February 2024 to February 2025, according to the City of Kissimmee’s official announcement.

The construction, bearing a $1 million price tag, wrapped up last Friday, with only the electric meter installation remaining to be effectively completed. Once this step is finalized, additional measures, including programming and testing, will unfold soon to eventually set the signal flashing and then to fully operational status.
