NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 14-year-old was arrested Wednesday after allegedly throwing a lit firecracker into a group of students inside a school gymnasium.

According to a news release from the Metro Nashville Police Department, the incident occurred on Wednesday at Hunters Lane High School, and no injuries were reported.
The student, who is in ninth grade, was identified and found to have another firecracker that was unlit, according to police.
Authorities said the teen was charged in juvenile court on Wednesday with making a threat of mass violence, tampering with evidence and possession of weapon-explosive.
