Flesh-eating bacteria has claimed 5 lives in Florida so far this year

A total of five deaths and 20 cases of a flesh-eating bacteria have been reported so far in Florida this year, officials said.

The latest figures from the Florida Department of Health show cases of the bacteria known as Vibrio vulnificus has been confirmed in 15 counties, including Broward and Miami-Dade.
