Holo Holo Festival brings the aloha island spirit to Sacramento

The sights, sounds, and aloha spirit of the islands will once again take over Heart Health Park this fall as the Holo Holo Festival returns to Sacramento. The two-day celebration is set for September 27 and 28, promising to fill the outdoor venue at Cal Expo with the rhythms of reggae, island pop, and Polynesian culture.

Billed as one of the region’s most unique music gatherings, Holo Holo brings together an eclectic mix of artists that capture the essence of island life. While the full 2025 lineup has yet to be announced, past editions of the festival have featured heavy-hitters like Kolohe Kai, J Boog, Maoli, The Green, Kapena, and even American Idol winner Iam Tongi. Fans can expect a similarly stacked roster when the lineup drops in the coming weeks.

The festival is more than just a concert—it’s a cultural experience. In addition to the music, organizers have emphasized respect for the land and people where the event takes place, acknowledging the ancestral territory of the Nisenan and Southern Maidu tribes.
