The FBI and local law enforcement descended on Joshua Media Ministries International’s (JMMI) new Houston property earlier today, executing a search warrant at the former hotel now described by JMMI as a Bible school and housing center. The site, located in the 14000 block of North Freeway, was announced to be the subject of “court-authorized law enforcement activity” by the FBI, as they and SWAT teams escorted several individuals from the building, with some appearing in handcuffs, according to FOX 26.
As part of the operation, a total of 17 individuals were removed from the location, and the property—owned by Kingdom of God Global Church—was acknowledged in Harris County Appraisal District records. Officials at the scene used a loudspeaker to instruct anyone inside to vacate the premises; this included nine men and eight women. The FBI Houston office has yet to reveal the details behind the raid, citing it as an active scene and an open investigation, which limits the amount of information publicly disclosed at this moment.
