Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers intercept massive fentanyl stash on car hauler

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — What seemed to be a normal traffic stop of a car hauler for Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers took a complete turn after a search revealed nearly 50 pounds of hidden fentanyl.

On Friday, August 1, OHP troopers pulled over a car hauler in a rural area on I-40 after it was said to be following too closely to another vehicle. During the traffic stop, troopers were allowed to search the hauler after they “observed suspicious indicators.”

During the search, troopers had found 49.55 pounds of illicit fentanyl that was in a hidden compartment of one of the vehicles on the hauler.

According to OHP, the amount of fentanyl seized during the traffic stop makes up over 11 million potentially lethal doses…
