LUBBOCK, Texas – Myesha Thomas, the mother of Lawrence Brantley, who was shot and killed in central Lubbock on Aug. 18, is demanding for justice and pleading for her son’s accused killer to turn himself in.
“I forgive him,” said Thomas. “Just surrender. Just go ahead and turn yourself in please. That’s all I ask.”
The morning of Aug. 18, the Lubbock Police Department confirmed that an officer was in the area of 44th Street when multiple shots were fired just before 4:00 a.m. Police said the officer was able to find the scene on 41st Street. Brantley was found with a gunshot wound. EMS was called to the scene, and Brantley was pronounced dead.
