Rare fossils and Kansas artifacts stolen from Derby dinosaur park

DERBY, Kan. (KSNW) — Fossils, a meteorite, and Kansas artifacts have been stolen from a local science-themed adventure park, and staff say the missing items are irreplaceable.

The theft happened at Field Station: Dinosaurs in Derby. Park officials said several one-of-a-kind fossils, an authentic meteorite sample, and historical artifacts were taken.

“These weren’t accidents. Plans were made to take them,” staff wrote in a social post.
