NAMPA — While it may be difficult to comprehend, thousands of cats are currently roaming free in Canyon County, and local municipalities have no specific plans to address it.
Canyon County’s handling of cats and dogs has recently been placed under a microscope with drastic changes taking place at the West Valley Humane Society. The privately owned shelter has contracts with the county as well as the cities of Nampa and Caldwell.
