Nampa Police warn of scam targeting domestic violence victims

BOISE, Idaho — The Nampa Police Department warned the public Tuesday after scammers began targeting domestic violence victims.

Scammers are calling recent domestic violence victims, posing as law enforcement officers and demanding $500 payments for a suspect’s jail bond, ankle monitoring system and participation in a “Second Chance Program,” according to Nampa Police.
