JACKSON COUNTY, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter last week helped remove more than 60 dogs from a Wayne County home. Many of these dogs are now available for adoption.
In total, the house contained around 80 dogs, animal shelter Director Lydia Sattler said. The owner started with two dogs that eventually had puppies and the number grew and the owner could no longer accommodate all the animals, Sattler said.
“With this many animals, the family was overwhelmed, and the other agency made the recommendation that they needed to reduce their numbers,” Sattler said…
