A local walk next month aims to spread the word about free aid for cancer patients. The Step Up Against Cancer walk takes place on Sept. 13 at 8 a.m. at Doctors Hospital of Augusta.
Since early 2025, the program has provided shelter to more than 2,100 patients. They’ve also given nearly 3,000 rides to those who must visit Augusta for specialized care. These numbers keep growing each month.
