A Weirsdale man who lost his license after a drunk driving conviction landed back behind bars after he was caught back behind the wheel.
A deputy observed 36-year-old James Larry Jordan in a red 2014 Toyota Corolla with only one working headlight around 8:50 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. He subsequently stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Southeast Maricamp and Oak Road in Ocala.
Jordan handed over an ID card, and the deputy asked if he ever had a driver’s license. He stated he did at one point but was in the process of getting back to valid status, the report said.
A check of his driving history revealed two cancellations and six suspensions, with the most recent indefinite cancellation being on June 4. There was also an unresolved revocation on Aug. 11, 2020, for DUI. He had no prior convictions for driving while license suspended, the report said…
