SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Multiple police agencies are coming together to participate in the annual Hands Across the Border campaign tonight, August 28, 2025.
This campaign brings together law enforcement from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia “to conduct joint safety checkpoints and remove impaired drivers from our roadways,” according to a social media post from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday night, deputies from the JCSO will join a multi-agency police checkpoint at the Talmadge Bridge on US-17 at the Georgia-South Carolina state line.…
