HIGHLAND, Ill. — The founder of one of the St. Louis region’s largest construction companies died Tuesday.
Ralph Korte, who founded The Korte Co. in 1958 with a $79 electric saw, died surrounded by his family, the company said in a news release. He most recently served as chairman emeritus until his death.
