West Jordan man arrested, accused of ‘hog-tying’ dog

WEST JORDAN — A man was arrested Wednesday and accused of torturing a dog.

William Griffin Broadbent, 24, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of torture of a companion animal and three counts of aggravated cruelty to an animal.

Over the course of a week, Broadbent was recorded on a neighbor’s surveillance camera “kicking his roommate’s dog, punching the dog, throwing household items at the dog, and hog-tying the dog’s legs together upside-down, then tying the dog to the fence,” according to a police booking affidavit…
