A Sparks man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of killing another man at Fisherman’s Park in 2023.
The Washoe County District Attorney’s Office says David Eugene Abara got into an argument with the victim, 35-year-old Randal Lowery, and then hit him. The DA’s office says after Lowery tried to defend himself, he fell collapsed on the ground – where he died.
The judge also sentenced him to an additional 8-20 years for a Deadly Weapons Enhancement – without the possibility of parole…
