Suspect Tries to Flee on Motorcycle and then on Foot Deputy Uses UAS to Locate and Arrest Suspect Quickly

SPOKANE – On August 24, 2025, at approximately 10:30 pm, a Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a motorcycle without a license plate, traveling south on Market Street north of Parksmith Drive. He turned his fully marked patrol car around to conduct a traffic stop and observed the rider turn west on Parksmith.

The Deputy activated his emergency lights as he followed the suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Lucas M. Clevenger, who was riding his motorcycle in the dirt along the railroad tracks that run parallel to the road. Clevenger looked back at the Deputy and continued to ignore the emergency lights and siren as they passed underneath the N. Spokane Corridor.

Clevenger rode onto the Global Harvest Foods parking lot, passing by a grain elevator. The Deputy turned around, entered the parking lot, and observed Clevenger crash as he attempted to cross the RR tracks to the north of the parking lot…
