Rochester, N.Y. — A suspect in the deadly mass shooting at an Airbnb home on the city’s east side is now awaiting sentencing.
One person was killed and four others were hurt during a shootout at a rental home on Illinois Street, where 20-30 people were gathered to record a rap video to commemorate a murder victim, according to Rochester police.
Investigators determined a group entered the home to confront someone they believe stole a gun from them when a shootout occurred, police said. While officers were beginning a preliminary investigation, five people arrived at local hospitals with gunshot wounds sustained in the shooting.
