Ventura has approved a program to offer transportation and social services to the homeless leaving the Ventura County jail.
The city will work with Ventura County and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department in the next six months on the specifics of the pilot program. Initial plans include help for drug and alcohol addiction, mental health issues and job hunting.
