The empty building in Amarillo at 4000 S Soncy has gone through a lot without having a tenant. We saw Sakura closing in that location. We rode the emotional roller coaster of hearing it would reopen.
Amarillo’s Restaurant Comebacks Give Hope
We hoped, especially after seeing other restaurants in Amarillo doing just that. We got to celebrate when Beef O’Brady’s got new owners and opened their doors again. We were also more than thrilled when the same thing happened for Malcolm’s. So, finding out that Sakura was going to as well, we were all for it.
Except that never happened. The building was back up for sale. We went back to wondering and waiting. Then the news came that Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse, 5807 SW 45th, was going to move into the empty location.
