JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – It was another quiet and relatively comfortable day across the area today with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and low humidity. I hope you had a chance to enjoy it, because changes are on the way tomorrow.
Things will start off mild on Thursday with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s and some spotty showers. Rain coverage will begin to increase quickly after lunchtime and will continue to go up through the remainder of the day. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected overnight and through the first half of the day on Friday. After that, coverage will begin to be more isolated again for Friday night and the start of the weekend, but not completely dry.
Behind the rain, more of the “cooler” conditions will continue. Lows are expected to fall to the mid and upper 60s for the end of the holiday weekend, and highs will stay in the mid to upper 80s…
