Sulphur Springs Crash Leads to DWI Arrest; 19-Year-Old Booked After Breath Test

SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX — A crash investigation near Bellview Street and South Moore Street on Monday, Aug. 25, 2025 led to the arrest of Devon Desean Cork, 19, according to a Sulphur Springs Police Department arrest report.

Officers responded at about 7:36 p.m. to a motor vehicle crash. The affidavit states that Cork later admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. Standardized field sobriety tests were administered, and Cork was taken into custody and transported to the Hopkins County Jail. Police say Cork consented to a breath test, which yielded 0.097 and 0.100 BAC results. He was booked at approximately 8:09 p.m.
