For three years, resident Matthew Boyd worked at The Globe Cafe on the George Mason University campus, where he cleaned tables, organized dishes, and socialized with students in his free time. Diagnosed with fetal alcohol exposure, Boyd found deep satisfaction holding down his job and serving students. He even rented an apartment near campus to be close to work.
